Guess who's coming to dinner on May 14, 21 and 28. You decide if you want to
be a guest and go to a house for dinner or serve as a host and have a dinner at your house. Forms will be available after the 10:00 AM service today. You will be
able to designate all kinds of needs and preferences (number of children you must
bring if you are a guest, whether you can accommodate children if you are a host,
any food allergies, time limits, etc.). We secretly put together the dinner parties and
take all of the requirements into consideration when matching guests up with hosts.
The guests all get an envelope telling them where to go on what day for dinner;
they can only open it 30 minutes before the dinner start time. The hosts know how
many people are coming to dinner, but don’t know who is coming until they show
up in the driveway.
Guests only need to bring an envelope with a contribution to St. Thomas’. The suggested amount of the contribution is what they would expect to spend on a
dinner out at a restaurant. This is a fun evening and a chance to get to know fellow
parishioners better. For more information, contact Susan Gardiner at 703-757-0798

UTO Spring Ingathering is May 15. Pick up a blue United Thank Offering
(UTO) box in the Narthex. Each day in remembrance of God’s blessing and
presence in your life, consider dropping a coin or two into the box. Thoughtfully
and with joy, this simple act of thanksgiving is a wonderful way to remember
God working in our lives. |

The congregation is invited to a Babies’ Shower for Marty and Kim Hager on
Sunday, May 1 during an expanded Coffee Hour complete with savories and sweets.
Child care will be provided.
The Hagers have limited living space so gift cards to Target and Babies R Us would afford them the convenience of "buying as they go." However, they are registered
at both places if you would prefer to give them a personal gift.
If anyone is interested in providing food for this joyous event, please contact:
Patricia Morgan at morbufo@aol.com or Martha Cashman at
